Style: Feel-good Style

Hello, Friends!  Thank you for the sweet, thoughtful support so many of you rendered to me through comments made on my last blog post. I was truly wiped out by the close of last week; following the ending of a sizable home remodel, busy work week and the emergence of a slight summertime cold. Post a relaxing weekend, I carved out added time to rest Sunday evening.  Hence, there was no post on Sunday this week.

These pics feature what a I wore to work last Friday.  Comfort is key to feeling good, but feeling "pulled together" plays a major role as well.

This outfit features pieces that are not only comfy; they are some of my faves.  That's the key to "feel-good" style.

When I feel good about what I'm wearing, I simply feel better in every respect.  Don't you?

Busy Woman...

This post is a quick one!  Our sizable remodeling project has finally come to an end.

This week, my "plate" was so full; I didn't even publish a post on Tuesday.  I'm a bit slow in visiting my fave blogs, too, but I'm getting there!

This busy woman is in real need of some R and R.  Good thing the weekend is right around the corner (smile).

Style Feature: Cappelli Straworld Pack A Hat

Representatives from Hartford York asked if I'd like to test a sample of the new Cappelli Straworld, Inc. Pack A Hat on the blog.  Lover of hats that I am, their offer was accepted...

The Cappelli Straworld, Inc. Pack A Hat is a sun hat (rated UPF 50+) that's tucked inside a coordinating, miniature wristlet tote bag.  What's amazing is that this sweet hat unfolds ready to wear.

The Cappelli Straworld, Inc. Pack A Hat would be perfect for the beach, walks outdoors, picnics, sipping libations on a winery patio, etc., etc., etc.  I "christened" mine by wearing it to a local pub for a weekday dinner out with Mark (post a long day at home overseeing our hardwood flooring installation).

A floppy hat is a summertime classic. Having one so readily accessible is such a great concept. The tote is cute enough to sport alone, or it could be tucked inside a larger bag.

I plan on packing mine for many a summertime excursion (both locally and out-of-town). In fact, it's going to be perfect for our trip to New England this summer.

The Cappelli Straworld, Inc. Pack A Hat retails at  $25 and is available in five different color options. Readers of this blog can enjoy free shipping on the Cappelli Straworld, Inc. Pack A Hat here.

Yes, that's me before heading off to a much-needed dinner out!  A full outfit post is forthcoming!

Every Cloud's Silver Lining...

This past Friday, the forecast warned there was an 80 percent chance of rain...

The silver lining to that is... I got to sport my new rain boots that day.

Did it rain that day?  Yes, it did.  The silver lining being... The raindrops fell while I was indoors--in my office--working.  The sun came out just in time for my evening dinner date with Mark, downtown.

Hat: Kohl's (older style; love this one, too)
Top: Loft (sold out; similar)
Skirt: Target (older style; adorable + affordable option)
Boots: Michael Kors
Sunnies: Ray Ban
Handbag: Vera Bradley
Men's Watch: Pulsar (gifted)
Necklace: Vintage Sarah Coventry (bought at a non-profit gift shop)

Don't you love finding silver linings? I sure do!

Finding Bliss Amidst Changes...

Well... It's that time of the year at the Bradley household.  We are in the midst of a sizable home renovation. This one involves the entry way, family room and upstairs hallway. It includes painting, redecorating and even the installation of wood flooring (Finally, the last of the carpeting will be gone from our home's lower level. Yay!!!).

This is roughly a two-week project.  The painters were here last week and will be for the early part of this week. The flooring installation begins next week.

During the remodel, we've moved everything out of our family room and entry way (which means all these items got crammed into other rooms).  Rather than enjoying our evenings in the family room, we are now watching movies and doing some series binge watching (right now, it's True Blood) in Mark's den, upstairs. The "chaos" will continue until mid-week next week.

As you can imagine, it's a bit messy at our place right now.  And, I must admit... I like having all in "order."  My home is my haven; so, this one's been a challenge (even though I know we will emerge with lovely, refreshed results afterwards).

Maxi Dress: Kohl's
Chambray Shirt: Fossil (updated version)
Wedge Sandals: Ralph Lauren
Sunnies: Betsey Johnson
Men's Watch: Pulsar (gifted)

I need to take a "page" from my lovely pet tabby cat's (Tabitha) book.  She, too, was initially not too fond about the present state of affairs.  As you can see from the photo below, though, she quickly decided to find bliss amidst the changes.

I have always said that Tabitha knows how to live well.  Indeed, it's true!

Tell me how you find bliss amidst changes.  Would love hearing about it!

Product Review: Emjoi Micro-Pedi

Recently, representatives for Emjoi asked me if I'd like to try a trial sample of their Micro-Pedi.  I was already on the lookout for a device like this; so, I gladly accepted the offer to give theirs a try.

A salon pedi is one of my monthly treasures. However, between pedicures, I find the soles of my feet get extremely dry and even cracked at the heels.  Slathering a butter balm all over my feet and, thereafter, "socking" them up overnight, is great for softening the top side of them, but I needed something more to address the soles...

My Experience: I adored the Emjoi Micro-Pedi for an array of reasons! First, it was so easy to use.  I popped in two batteries, pressed the button and got right to the "sole" of the problem. The Micro-Pedi fit comfortably in my hands and there was no slippage (thanks to the product's rubberized side grips).

Another plus: Given that the one-roller version is priced at $29.95, it's a markedly better bargain than one of the similar competitor's devices I recently checked out (so glad I didn't buy that other brand!).

The Emjoi Micro-Pedi is the only motorized callous remover to have the American Podiatric Medication Association Seal of Acceptance. Of course, that's significantly important to me.

However, my greatest praise is found in the end result.  This product significantly improved the sole of my foot's skin quality on my first use of it.  Immediately, I could both see and feel the results (meaning it is now going to be part of my weekly self-care regimen).

Emjoi offers various other attachments (e.g. a manicure attachment) and other options (including precision kits).  All can be found at emjoi.com.

Love this Photo Bomb!

There's a lot of talk about "photo bombing" out there...

Seems like it's an issue that's rampant...

These pics were taken last Saturday morning post my breakfast date, downtown, with Mark.  We shot them at the local college campus.  Being in very close proximity to a few ponds, we should have realized photo bombing could be an issue...

Yes, these two sweet ducks were the culprits. And...I absolutely love the fact.  We laughed harder during this photo shoot than any other I can remember.  It was sheer bliss!

 Blouse: Lucky Brand (similar)
Lace Camisole: Urban Outfitters (similar)
Jeans: Loft
Leather Backpack: Anthropologie (another lovely option)
Wedge Sandals: Ralph Lauren
Watch: Michael Kors
Bracelet: c/o Tidebuy
Sunnies: c/o Firmoo
Lips: Lancome Corset
Nails: Essie Find Me An Oasis

I sure wish I knew what these two were saying! They quacked endlessly.  In fact, we knew they were headed our way before they got to us (we could hear them coming our way). Maybe they were saying, "Hurry! It's a blog photo opportunity.  We don't want to miss out on this great exposure!" LOL!

Share with me your thoughts on hilarious photo bombings. I love to laugh!
