Several recent holiday gifts I've received have shaped my focus toward choices I plan to make when buying future gifts for others. For example, in 2013, I hope to give more gifts that:
- are hand-crafted (by myself and others);
- come from women-owned businesses;
- support small business owners;
- were locally produced; and
- are simple, fun, unique and personally meaningful to the person I'm giving them to."
